Glass - Nonic
A - A very dark, hazy porter with little light shining through. It produced a 2-3 finger off white head on a somewhat gentle pour. Head looks dense, and head retention seems to be great. I got some spots left on my glass but no lacing.
S - The first thing I pick up is smokey leather like notes. Deep roasted coffee bean, mild charcoal. It definitely doesn't smell like it would taste too sweet.
T - Roasted coffee beans, leather, charcoal, woody, earthy. Mild sweetness in the form of soft caramel like flavors. It finishes with mild, leafy hop like notes, mild bitterness, soft dryness, and a mild pepper like heat that builds up in your throat and the back of your tongue.
M - Medium bodied with moderate crispness and a bit of a smooth feel.
O - Wow, just like the original Smoked Porter, I really enjoyed this one. I loved how smokey, and leathery the aroma and taste were. It wasn't overly sweet or carbonated, and the appearance was great as well. Just a fantastic Porter to me.
Stone might have just started bottling this fine brew, cause I've never seen it in a bottle before. Pick it up and give it try if you can. Cheers!

This one pours a dark brown leading to black with a nice off white head that settles very slow and leaves nice lacing down the glass.
The nose is excellent spicy and sweet with a tinge of sourness to the complexity that has hints of bread, alcohol and malt.
The taste is very nice with some of the tastes leading towards a variety of bitters. The chipotle is definitely there with notes of bread, nice bittering hops and a sweet malty undertone.
The moutfeel is fairly rich and a good match for this unique experience.
Overall this is a great result for an unexpected blend of Chipotle and porter. A very enjoyable and different experience with a nice bitter finish.

Enjoyed on tap at Beef O'Brady's in Newburgh, IN.
Pint poured a dark brown, almost opaque black into a Stone etched pint glass, with very little lace.
Aroma subtle, not much in the way of smokiness, porter malts, or pepper, somehow.
Taste is roasty and chocolate at first, followed by definite chipotle heat. Balance is good though... heat works well against the roastiness.
