Pours a deep dark brown to black color with a thick, foamy, beige/tan head.
Very big, but nicely balanced bitter hop and sweet malt aromas. Piney, citrusy, hoppiness dominates with a sweet caramel/mollasses maltiness following closely behind.
Tastes of sweet caramel, mollasses, maple syrup with a hint of brown sugar.
Mouthfeel is sharp and bitter in all the right places.
A very big, but drinkable offering from Stone. Check it out if you can.
