Bomber poured into a stein.
A-Pours a deep intimidating brown and a creamy light brown head with big bubbles that stay around.
S-Damn strong piney hops with slight hints of caramel malt and a smoky background profile.
T-First sip is a hit of hops that refreshes the palate and gives a bit of tart grapefruit. On the way down, a smoky malt really brings the flavor.
M-Each sip transitions from crisp to creamy and really satisfies.
O-I love the hops and for a dark ale it brings a lot of subtleties. I've seen other reviews describe it as a black IPA and it fits the bill. Good beer for a good price. Stone brewers have the right to be sublimely self righteous.
