A - Dark like Coca-Cola with a superb, beige crown that leaves lots of sticky lacing.
S - Improved as it warmed. Burnt molasses, oak, leather, hops, more hops, and coffee. Wow! :)
T - Delicious ale. Has a hop kick across the spectrum but the underlying smokiness is impressive. Tastes very much as it smells; complex offering but there is some heat to the finish that detracts a bit. NOT for food.
M - Refreshing, assertive creaminess.
D - The alcohol is there for sure so I'd recommend this whole-heartedly, only well after a meal in the Autumn chill. Let the ale warm up a bit.
