A-Orange Jell-O body. Glossy. In light, yolky bright orange. Off-white head. Three finger thick. Sudsy. More creamy actually. Pillow-y, spotty lacing. Head & lacing have great retention. Appearance meets the bar of a Belgian IPA.
S-Banana bread. Cinnamon. Clove. Yeasty. Honey wheat bread. Citrus. Sweet sticky pine. Very juicy. Floral.
T-Starts citrusy, combined with bananas. More orange forward. Excellent malt middle. A mushroom cloud of malt explodes in the center. Ends bitter and pine hoppy. Pine lingers nicely. Has the bittersweet aftertaste of grapefruit. Juicy. Sour yeast and baking spices on the finish as well. Resin billows up after sipping. Gets more bitter and resinous with time.
M-Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slight sediment on finish that feels like baking spices via Belgian yeast. Sour aftertaste. Tingly. Medium level of drying. And yet wets with every sip. You feel the beer evaporate at a nice pace off of the palate.
O-Thought would be better. The smell was good, but not thick and fragrant like a Belgo-IPA should be. The two worlds of Belgian brew & IPA were mild in scents and taste. Good for the style, but I didn't get too excited drinking. Just sipped nonchalantly. Good to slightly great beer, but not classic like a Stone brew should be.
