22 ounce bomber into a Tremens Tulip

A - transparent amber, can see the carbonation through the beer faint white head, dissipates uickly with little lacing
S- citrus fruit, bready, malty, biscuit, honey, floral, anise, hoppy.
T- crisp, dry, hops. floral notes ring through. American IPA meets Belgian IPA. American hop varietals are the showcase here though. Bit of peach in the finish, too?
M-Light, crisp. resinous hops with a long lingering hops bitter finish. so balanced and refreshing.
O-Great Stone IPA for sure with earthy funkiness of a good Belgian IPA. for $4.50 would absolutely recommend again, and again, and again...ridiculously good beer.

Cali-Belgique IPA is a very striking golden shade of amber. Only the slightest haze distorts what is ultimately a beer with excellent clarity. The puffy head after the initial pour seems like it wants to stay, but subsides to about 1/4" later. There is some moderate lacing left on the glass, and the beverage seems quite carbonated, as bubbles are seen rising top continuously.

The aroma is rich and alluring, though unexpected. Scents of port and wine, funky yeast, cranberry, kiwi, and grapefruit fill the nostrils, as well as bready grains. Interesting...
Flavor-wise, again, this is different than I imagined it would be. There are a lot of fruit esters present, for example, in addition to those already mentioned, I can pick up some granny smith apples, and plums. There's a decent bit of maltiness, in the form of a grainy taste, and even something in there that's sour.

It's really in the finish do the hops really pack a wallop, with a big, piny bitterness. The mouth feel is syrupy and full, for a beer of a relatively lower ABV. It's somewhat warming after each swallow. Although this is a little unusual for a Belgian IPA, it's complex, which I love and very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it and purchase it again.

Beer is an orange/straw color that is pretty clear. Pours a moderate sized creamy white head. Head has decent retention and leaves heavy lacing. Smells of bread, pine, and citrus, a bit of other fruit, although I can't pinpoint what.

Taste starts with pine, then moves to orange with a bit of lemon and grapefruit. Has a nice bready finish with both pine and orange, and a bit more of nondescript fruit. A little funky/yeasty. Has a light body and high carbonation for an IPA, although they are probably both average for a Belgium.
