picked up a bottle from stone brewery yesterday. poured into a pint glass. nice golden color with a two finger off white head, that stays for a minute or two then fades fast and leaves a small film up top. pretty decent lacing.

smells of sweet belgian yeasts.

tastes sweet. smooth. with a little dry bitterness at the end. not really thrilled on this one. but then again im not huge on belgians. it is worth it to try though.

mouthfeel is watery and thin. subtle carbonation.

its not impossible to drink, but its not the best beer ive had. like i said worth it to try a collaboration of three great breweries.

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.7%. Golden colour, big white head. Lovely aroma of Belgian yeast, fruity esters, spices and floral and fruity hops. The flavour is spicy and yeasty with a sweet and fruity body, and a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. Only drawback is that the alcohol is not particularly well hidden, so if you get drunk on this beer, you understand why. Still a beer I’ll be happy to drink again!

The beer poured a hazy translucent gold colour with a thin white head, and detectable yeast. The aroma was combination of yeast, spice, and bready malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was malt, some citrus and licorice tones, and some leather. I was expecting a WHOLE lot more.

Thanks to GRG1313 for gifting me this one.

Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy orange-bone head that settles to tiny wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, honey, fruit, spice, and some oxidation aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit, honey, and oxidized flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is showing a fair amount of oxidation and is very honey forward at this point.
