pour was an amber and ruby with a thick creamy head.

mostly bourbon on the nose. very light hops however they were dominated by a heavy bourbon presence. lots of vanilla.

again, heavy on the bourbon. this was very dominating with a nice thick vanilla flavor that blended well with the sweet malt and citrus hops.

very full, a bit resin like. nice moderate carbonation. slight dryness.

this was good, although i can see this becoming cumbersome after a bit with the strong bourbon.

Had while at Brewvival! Served from tap into a sampler Brewvival imperial pint. Poured dark brown with a half finger tan head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, bitter hop, caramel, wood, and sweet alcohol. The flavor was of sweet malt, bitter hop, caramel, and wood. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. A very nice spin on the regular Arrogant Bastard for sure. It also seemed to mellow out the original as well making this quite enjoyable. Really glad I got the chance to try this one as it wasn't at the Stone Tap Takeover event in Charlotte and I wished it would have been.

On-tap at Brewvival 2011.

Pours a ruddy dark brown with a thin creamy tan head. Nice crisp aromas of caramel malt, bitter, earthy hops, vanilla, bourbon, oak, and ash. Flavor is very similar, not as hoppy as expected, I assume the barrel mellows them quite a bit. Bourbon presence is very nice, not too overpowering like some hoppy beers. Pretty crisp, with a medium body and moderate carbonation. A really nice take on Arrogant Bastard.

Appearance: mahogany, deep red, well carbonated: when swirled/agitated, even after 10 or 15 minutes quarter of an inch of thick head forms.
Nose: Apple, Spices, woody, small amounts of pine
Taste: bitter, bright, piny,
Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied
Overall: A great brew, served it straight out of the fridge, which was a bad idea, but once it warmed up we started getting more flavor from it. I'm not a huge hophead, so idk if I'd seek this out again, but if it's offered I'll definitely partake.
