I'm glad I read a post here about enjoying this fresh. I didn't even read the bottle and just put it in the cellar. I remedied that situation and chilled it last week.
So, it's pretty dark for a hop aroma like that!
It looks like a light brown ale or a dark amber. Or, perhaps, an American Strong Ale! The head rivals Duvel!
Smell is 2/3 Celbration or Bigfoot and 1/3 Hopslam. Translation: awesome!
More tropical hop flavors and slightly less bitterness would have been appreciated. I didn't even notice the malt until I was nearly done with my glass and it warmed up more than expected.
Nice mouthfeel but maybe just slightly too bitter and hot for a better drinkability score.
Don't think I'll get again as a fresh bigfoot is pretty close to this beer and much cheaper. Overall, a dang nice beer!
