Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a tulip glass
A: Pours a transparent brown with garnet edges. A thin cap of head left little lacing.
S: Piny hops dominate the nose. A faint background of malt and brown sugar linger behind the assault of hops.
T: This thing is a hop colossus. Reading about this beer prior to drinking it did nothing to prepare me for the assault that awaited. Enormous citrusy, oily, resinous hop bitterness kicks your tongue's ass but leaves it craving more. There's a pretty serious biscuity malt background that would usually dominate most brews, but the hops definitely play center stage here.
M: Medium-medium heavy viscosity with enough carbonation to make an attempt at cleansing the palate between sips.
D: As deliciously ridiculous as this beer is, I couldn't see myself downing more than one of these in a sitting. (which means Stone did it right)
