22 oz bottle, tulip glass
Pours a deep mahogany color, definitely reddish tones. The light tan head is thick and creamy with good retention.
Citrus and hops dominate the aroma. Malty background aroma. Alcohol noticeable.
The hop bitterness hit me immediately with the flavor. Citrusy hop flavor was very pronounced. The malts quickly follow, mild sweetness, caramel notes. The bitterness, however, was the dominant characteristic.
This was a little thicker than I was expecting, but then again I was not quite sure what to expect. The bomber was definitely enough considering the ABV and the consistency.
Overall, I enjoyed this, but was expecting more.
