Love that Stone so picking this anniversary option up was a no brainer.
A- Deep red color, kinda reminds me of dragon fruit. Really inviting light brown head not normally associated with a red. Nice lacing that leaves wisps along the edge of the glass.
S- Super malty aroma with a hint of that dragon fruit again.
T- Wow...really spicey. What a suprise from this annual contribution form Stone. Great woody overtone on this brew that is less of an overtone and more of a concise statement. This truly reminds me of an hour and a half beer from another great brewery whose contradictory animal name shall remain nameless.
M- good offering. Typical of the quality from Stone.
D- Maybe a little harsh on the flavor buds for a favorite but just what have grown to expect from an anniversary ale from Stone.
This red is a testament to the quality and diversity craft brewing has come to be known for.
