Pours an opaque, mahogany color with rising tan head. Head dissipates slowly leaving plenty of lacing on the glass.
Smells mostly of piny and citrus hops. A little malty sweetness, but the hops are at the forefront.
Tastes of a caramel malt flavor upfront with a big hop kick in the end. The hops have a big pine/woody profile, with a more subtle citrus flavor buried in there. There is also a good amount of alcohol in the profile. As it warms, I can taste some more dark fruit type flavors.
The mouthfeel is a perfect full, creamy body with a good amount of carbonation.
This is very drinkable, and I have to be careful to not drink it too fast.
