Fresh growler from Stone on Super Bowl Sunday.
A - Deep amber with off white "dirty" looking head. Slightly foamy with plenty of lacing.
S - Tons of hops dominate with the malt profile you know from regular Bastard. Maybe a distant hint of oak but mainly amber malts and tons of hops.
T - I like this blend as it has so much complexity without one thing dominating. Hops are clearly the dominate flavour, though they are well balanced with the maltiness from Double B etc.
M - Fairly full bodied at the start with a little alcohol thinness coming thru at the end.
D - This is a wonderful blended beer with ample dry hops and a solid malt profile. While I wouldn't drink a whole growler to the dome this is a nice one to have in the mix. In all honesty it is the best Bastard of the lot.

Enjoy by January 13.
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a frothy khaki head that lingers.
Pine, resin, and grapefruit are supported by sweet burnt sugar and toasted bread in the aroma. Pine dominates. Dark fruit notes of prunes and fig add intrigue.
Flavor begins with burnt breadcrust and deeply caramelized sugar, with underlying grapefruit pith, herbal tea, and pine, finishing fairly dry and bitter. Oak and resin linger in the aftertaste.
Body is a little full, with low carbonation and moderate alcohol warmth.
Interesting combination of flavors, thought the burnt character dominates and is slightly unpleasant.
