11-7-14, Bottle dated, 10-4-14, inside Bastard Box.

Poured into a Stone 10.5oz glass, dark like their 18th anniversary, but has that red hue to it when held up to light like AB, pretty clear red color,

Nose: HOPS, this thing is massive, if I was blindfolded I would say RuinTen everytime. You don't get too much malt characteristic in the nose, there is some carmel, sweetness, redness, and just overall a full body nose, but hops dominate.

Taste: Again, this seems very similar to RuinTen, just a bit more full/darker. Less bitter then RT but this is pretty hoppy. Taste is hops with a sweet dark fruit, similar to their 18th ipa. Aftertaste is bitter/sweetness, grapefruit, this beer definitely is less malty then the rest in the bastard family.

Mouthfeel: This is pretty much full bodied, decently carbonated, but again it just hits the tongue with that dry hopped bitterness...

Overall: THIS IS A 10. I have had few beers with the complexity that this one has, it is very similar to their 18th anniversary IPA in the darker/copper category, but the dry hopping on this is insane, it's like RuinTen but retains the dark fruit/caramel from AB and the other bastards. I'm lucky to have it pretty fresh. Seek this out. I know my local place here in Idaho got a case or 2 of just the Lukcy Basartd so it seems to be a bigger release then the Bastard Boxes. Or at least everyone that got the box also got a case or 2 of this. Get it, you won't be disappointed.
