Pours a deep ruby tan, like musty straw. Weak head, but good lacing.
The smell has an immediately spicy head, with yeasty tones kicking in as well, backed up by a citrusy bittersweetness.
The flavour follows the nose. The cascade hops dominate early, as their spicy nature shines through, with hints of citrus, pine, and yeast. Theres an underlying buttery smoothness that I can't quite put my finger (tongue) on.
The mouthfeel is almost chewy, with the bitter spiciness dancing across the back of the tongue.
Drinkable if it's what you're into, for me it's a little hoppy to have more than one or two in a row.
Overall a good representation of a style that is not my favourite. Try it, you'll probably like it.
