A - A fingers worth of compact fizzy ecru colored head... Displays excellent retention, especially given the initially slight amount of head that presented itself... The head ultimately fades and leaves a full slightly lumpy lacing... A deep rich copper color which is slightly lighter at the bottom of the glass and darker at the top... There are some orange highlights throughout... Loads of small moderate paced carbonation throughout...
S - Wonderfully well balanced nose... The lovely blend of citrus and piney hops are the first to hit the nose... Then a rich maltines asserts itself... Toffee... Caramel... A faint nuttiness... Terrific...
T - The taste mirrors the nose... A sudden hoppy assault is mellowed by a faint layer of malt, namely caramel and nuts... Extremely bitter hoppy aftertaste thats leaves wanted to take another sip...
M - Very crisp... Medium bodied, but quite thin and watery... Burnt and slightly chalky... Some pringly carbonation upfront... Quite assertive and powerful...
D - A very assertive brew that has a lot of tricks up its sleeve, especially considering the modest 4.4% ABV... Unique and enjoyable... Another well crafted ale from Stone... Kudos...
