Bottle purchased at AJ's in Henrietta, NY.

Pours a deep, almost opaque amber, with a small half inch head, and a lot of lacing.

Smells like a big pine tree, with some caramel, toffee, and toasted bread.

The taste is similar. There is a pretty big lingering bitterness, a big hallmark of Stone. It's not quite as bitter as some of their other stuff, though. The bitterness is mainly piney, with a hint of citrus hop flavor as well, on top of a big toasted malt backbone, very bready.

It's medium bodied, with a crisp, bready mouthfeel, and a higher level of carbonation.

One of the better amber ales out there, it's crazy how much flavor is in just 4.4% ABV for this one.
