500ml bottle poured into some little sample glasses. It's a chile beer, so just like Crime, which I reviewed a short time ago, I'm expecting chile up front.
Pours quite cloudy, with a small head, and very little (but very fine) carbonation. Looks a little better than its brother, Crime, because it's not as flat-looking. Smell is lots of peppers, but more of a caramelized pepper aroma than just a burning spiciness. Something in the smell reminds me of toffee. Peppers and toffee is a good combination, by the way.
Taste is dominated by peppers. There is some intense bitterness behind it, and some very nice caramel sweetness. Lots of spice. I think this one's a bit spicier than Crime. This one is also quite smokey. Something about this reminds me of maple syrup.
Mouthfeel is smooth, light. I like this beer, but I have to sip it slowly.
