12oz bottle poured into shaker pint. Thanks to Jesse13713 for this one!
A: Pours a clear but very dark crimson-brown with a finger of dense, off-white head with good retention and spotty lacing.
S: Complex malt aroma going on here: dark fruits, though less than might be expected from a wee heavy (to my personal enjoyment), lots of toffee, a bit of tartness, and a good deal of coffee.
T: Opens with a bit of tanginess, which gives way to a powerful dark fruit (figgy, plummy) sweetness. A bit of coffee and toffee flavors can be picked up behind those two, along with a newly introduced vanilla.
M: Light body, moderate carbonation, and a slightly syrupy, sweet, very vanilla-y finish.
D: An enjoyable beer, if it wasn't for the price and limited availability this could be my go to Wee Heavy behind Skullsplitter.
