Pours a nice one and a half finger head, the head is tan in color. The body is see through, but just barely, it is a dark dark red, maybe even brown color. The head looks really nice and creamy, but it isn't hanging in there too well. Overall it looks pretty good, not amazing though. Very big malt smell on this beer, kinda impressive though, the amount of malts that is. There might be a tiny tiny hop smell in the distance there, but it's almost undetectable. There is a molasses like, maybe even maple syrup smell to it. It doesn't smell too amazing, but it does have some yummy characteristics on the nose. WHOA! Flavor just hits you like no other, wayyyy more flavors than I was detecting on the nose. Yeah there is for sure a maple syrup/molasses taste to this, and it's blended very nicely with that HUGE malt flavor that just hits you right up front. You can also taste the alcohol which is a little unfortunate for it only being 8.8%, but at the same time it really isn't offensive at all. There is a nice woody flavor to it perhaps, maybe oak barrels? I dunno, I'm not the best with identifying what it's been aged in. There is a small small hop note in this beer but it's covered up by the alcohol. Overall, there are a lot of nice flavors in this beer, the alcohol flavor does kill it in some areas, but it's still pretty complex and for sure tasty. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but the big flavor backs it up pretty well and makes it feel better than it really is. Drinkability isn't too high, because of the big alcohol flavor, but I'm more than willing to sacrifice that in exchange for a tasty beer. Overall a pretty damn good beer, nothing outstanding, but big flavor and a lot of nice subtle flavors here and there.

12 oz. bottle pouted into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass. Liquid pours light brown and amber with light red highlights. A little lighter when held up to the light. Pretty good clarity, some slight particles floating around. Off white/cream collared head, not much in the way of lacing and it doesn't stick around too long.
Smells really good. Lots of caramelized malts, a reasonable dose of vanilla, brown sugar/butter blend, followed by an appropriate amount of spicy hops.
Taste might be a touch better than the smell. Very well malted, but not in the slightest bit a sugar bomb. Plenty of caramelized roasted malts, a nice vanilla/brown sugar blend. There's also the slightest bit of an earthy smoke flavor. Mostly herbal hops with the slightest touch of over ripe, sweet tangerine citrus.
Mouthfeel is great. Full bodied and a good carbonation level. Slightly buttery with a nice dry, spicy finish. Really drinkable, goes pretty quick, especially for a scotch ale. Nice job boys, another awesome Stone Collab.
