12 oz. bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass. The liquid is a golden yellow color. A TON of small particles floating around throughout. A decent sized white cap comes out during the pour and provides decent lacing.
Smell is good, not really to different from what I expected. Very herbal and floral. Strong hop aroma with a health mix of fresh brewed green tea. Still a slight sweetness, so there's gotta be a decent malt backbone.
Taste is also very good. I know I've talked to several people about it being too bitter, but I don't think so. I really like tea, and green tea is a personal favorite. The hops are a decent blend of citrus and pine, and again fresh brewed green tea mixed in.
Mouthfeel is good, surprisingly clean feel considering it's obviously not filtered. Excellent carbonation level and o bite from the alcohol, I never would have guessed 9+ here. Nice beer, a solid collaboration. I wouldn't mind seeing this one rotate in and out of production by Stone. A very unique and innovative idea for a beer, and supports a good cause!
