Served in a goblet.
A- It has a hazy golden color. Very light head that went away quickly.
S- Has a sweetness that is almost floral in nature like honeysuckle or like melting sugar into tea and a bit of a citrusy note. The hops are quite pungent.
T- Sweetness in the front, citrusy hops in the back. The sweetness and other nuances of herbaceous tea like notes are kinda killed by the amount of hops that come through and cling onto the palette.
M- Not very syrupy, a light body feel but the hops are lingering on the palette
Overall- I am disappointed. It was a alright IPA, but the hops just were too strong and made the draw of this brew, the green tea, hard to discover. I was hoping that the bitterness of this beer would draw more from the teas naturally roasty bitter notes than a hop. This was a collaboration, but I saw it being more Stone- it was trying to be epic and mean where it needed balance and subtlety to make the main ingredient shine. Perhaps green tea would have been better suited for another beer style.
