hazy orange with a little and quick-fading head. sharp herbal notes, the green tea is in there, slight woody nuttiness, pine and citrus. Starts out done up and bitter, the green tea comes through mid-palate and then gets washed away in a wave of herbs and pine.
The green tea works, but could be done a little better to integrate into the beer. As it is, the beer seems to develop in a series of distinct stages that seem like they're still getting to know each other.
Perhaps a different green tea? Or different hops?
I do like that the malt was not overly complicated and it finished dry, allowing the hops and tea to do their thing. Maybe if this sits a few more weeks in the bottle it'll get a little better. Not bad, though.
