Stone Japanese green tea ipa
A- pour produces a 1 finger off white head that rests atop a golden/sunset orange beer with a good amount of fine sediment floating arount making it hazy. Not much in the way of lacing 3.5
S- citrusy with grapefruit predominant also some lemon zest and tangerine. This is backed up bu a biscuty malt. A definitely tea scent but not necessarily green tea. Smell excellent 4
T- this beer is actually tea forward. I get it on the forefront and all the way through. It subdues some the citrusy hops and balances it out. There are tastes of green tea, grapfruit, tangerine, lemon, bitter hops, some alcohol warmth and taste. Very well done. The alcohol warmth actually makes it feel kind of like a warm tea going down. 4
M- good mouthfeel. Nice viscosity and good carbonation 4
O- a good beer and one I'd like to try again especially on tap. Good drinkability and well done 4
