A great blend of Beer and tea, if that is possible. Medium harsh up front hop insult followed by the appearance of a good green tea and a nice, long finish.

Poured out of a bomber into one of my tulip glasses, this beer pours a mainly clear, but just slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden color with just a slight amber hue when held up to the light and has lots of little bubbles continuously rising to the beer's surface. has a nice, solid white head that is about 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch thick when poured that isn't interested in fading away. It does eventually decide to settle to a nice thick ring lining the inside of the glass, along with nice cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface and very excellent lacing. Very good head retention here. Did I mention that? Herbal, piney and floral hop and tea aromas are strongly and pleasantly present. Has hints of toasted caramel malt sweetness upfront that gives way to green tea that then in turn gives way to pine and citrus floral hop bitterness. The way the tea and hop flavors compliment one another is quite exquisite as far as my palate is concerned! The bitterness is certainly there, but is not an overpowering aspect of this beer. Has a dry after taste that really linger on the palate. It also has a crisp, smooth, and frothy, almost creamy, slightly oily, full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. This one really coats the inside of my mouth and seems to have no plans of going anywhere for awhile. And that is just fine by me. Drinkablity is superb, especially for a beer that boasts 10.1 % ABV. I missed this one the first time around 4 years ago or so, and I am damn glad that Stone and friends decided to give this one a second go, albeit it with a few modifications from the original batch. A damn good beer here! Stone does it again!

Not a green tea fan, apparently.

Delightfully refreshing with a great IPA initial taste and a smooth finish. It's probably good for you too... it has green tea.

Pours a slightly hazy medium gold. Aroma is an interesting mix of tea and pine. Green tea flavor up front but it is quickly overtaken by hops. Loads of pine behind the tea but the interplay is perfect. High bitterness and a drying finish. Great drinkability considering the strength. Awesome beer.

Very well done. One of the prettiest looking beers I've ever seen. The green tea flavor works very well with the floral hops. Easy drinking despite the high ABV.

2015 version. The tea and citrus aromas and flavors are well documented here, so instead I'll give personal impressions. The tea was quite a refreshing addition. It gave some mint character as well. The hop combining with mint made for an orange flavor... like oranges, not zest, not citrus, but subtle orange juice. Dare I say that this would go well with sushi? 10.1 ABV is dangerous as this drinks very easy.
