Pours a nice looking light tan with one fingered head. The beer is a clear mahogany brown which leaves a little bit of lacing
The herbs come straight out and dominate the smell. I get small hints of yam and pumpkin but the lemon and smoke seem to dominate. The fenugreek and birch also dominate the other smells.
Certainly different from other pumpkin ales. There's not as much pumpkin or cinnamon in the beer as there is as other ones. I get tastes of smoke, roasted malt with a bit of lemon and fenugreek.
Medium light with little carbonation.
A fairly interesting beer that I wasn't particularly fond off but that shouldn't stop you from trying.
