La Citrueille Celeste De Citracado pours a clear mahogany with a moderate, fizzy off white head on top. The foam disappears quickly leaving behind some spots and lines of lace on the glass.
The aroma is spicy with notes of ginger and nutmeg. Also present is brown sugar, molasses, caramel and toffee.
Each sip of this light to medium bodied beer is watery on the palate with moderate carbonation. The flavor has a lot of ginger and nutmeg along with pumpkin, brown sugar, and molasses. It finishes mildly bitter with a touch of lemon citrus. Once gone some tea like flavors linger on the palate.
Lots of interesting flavors in this beer. However, I'm not convinced they all work together harmoniously.
