Poured into an imperial pint glass. Color was a nice dark brown with a reddish tinit. Head was a 1 finger fairly thick dirty white that clung fairly well. Aroma reminded me more of a barleywine, with a bit of sugary alcohol smell present. A bit of squash with nutmeg came through after a while. First take on flavor, a smoked porter. After thinking on it, a bit of brown sugar baked squash came up. Coated fairly well, seemed a tad thin, but not overwhelmingly so. Overall, a good beer. Nuanced flavors that were well balanced and pleasant. However, wasn't what I would expect for a pumpkin ale, which knocked down the overall score a bit.
