Poured from a 12-oz. bottle into a pint glass. Lots of head, just over three fingers worth. Color was caramel brownish. Cloudy, foamy lacing that was somewhere in between brown and white. Healthy amount of film on the sides, foamy and sporadic.
Lots of different smells right away. Got light citrus hops, molasses, caramel, brown sugar and light cinnamon. Great balance.
Taste wasn’t as good as the smell, but decent nonetheless. Got caramel, molasses, brown sugar and gingerbread up front. Probably not as cold as it could have been, but still tasty. Malty.
Medium body. Creamy, sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long lasting, smooth finish.
Really enjoyed this beer. Balanced, drinkable and tasty.
