Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a deep dark amber/brown color with a favorable amount of slightly off-white head. The aroma has some malts, hops, with perhaps a hint of brown sugar. The taste has some hops, citrus, and earthy malts, along with some slight molasses notes. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good carbonation. This drinks very easily for a 7% beer and although more bitter than most brown ales, I don't mind the bitterness.
Overall, a solid brown ale from BR, Stone, and Fat Head's. If it were at a slightly cheaper price point and available in sixers, I would get one every once in awhile.
