12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a hazy medium brown with a humongous three finger head. Amazing head retention on this one.
Smells very hoppy with lots of pine and citrus. Some roasted malt sneaks in there as well.
Flavor is extremely hoppy from the get go. Lots of pine but some roast quickly comes in along with a little nutmet/allspice. These flavor are all but drowned out, however by bitterness from the hops. Mouthfeel is pretty watery, especially for being over 7%.
Overall, I feel this beer gets it about half right. The head retention and carbonation are amazing but I feel it is way too unbalanced towards the hops. I would like for the malt to shine through a little more. A pretty good effort, though that I would drink again.
