Poured into a sam adams perfect pint glass. 2 finger, frothy head. Clear, amber/brown colored body. Good lacing left in the glass.
Aroma had some notes of orange and malty sweetness. Citrusy and caramel. Some subtle notes of the molasses.
Taste was hoppy with a malty body and a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Some flavors of orange and citrus from the hops. Slightly spicey. Mild signs of the molasses used. Somewhat bready. Mild sweetness helps balance hop usage. Light maltiness. Notes of roasted malts and caramel. Light lingering bitterness. No signs of ABV.
Mouthfeel was medium/light body with medium/high carb. Crisp finish.
Overall it was a good beer. Didnt really notice the brown sugar and the molasses flavor was very light. Good twist on a traditional brown ale though and the hop profile was good.
