A - I don't think I've ever seen a beer with this look to it. The deep copper tone was infused with a fiery red that I can only imagine would mirror the color of the Stone Gargoyle's demonic eyes. This, more than the smell, portends the assault that is to come. The head is thick, and quickly recedes to a thin file that leaves a beautiful lacing on the glass.
S - A bubbling cauldron of hops. I can barely detect pine and citrus elements, but with a kick. No particular scent dominates, but, like the smell, it prepares the consumer for things to come.
T - Not for the faint at heart. The taste explodes from the first sip. It's boldness to the max, and takes a little while to adjust to. After about 6 swallows I'm still blown away by the bitterness that just keeps coming. It's not exclusively bitter though, and is well balanced.
M - Really nice. I take a big mouthful, swallow half, then savor the other half. It isn't pillowy or carbonated, just a really nice medium-full bodied drinking experience.
O - This joins the elite cadre of beers that is greater than the sum of its parts. This category may well be titled "experience", as this bomber is in fact an experience. The alcohol doesn't reveal itself significantly in the flavor, but I could feel it after only a few swallows. This, along with it's (slightly) tamer brother are drinking experiences that few other beers have been able to imitate.
