Poured a nice bright orange with a good bit of sticky white head.
The smell was light and citrusy with a bit of dry crackery malt sneaking through, not nearly as hoppy in the nose as I expected with all the talk of extra dry hopping.
The flavor had a bit of light bready malt poking through the onslaught of pine, grapefruit, herbal hop assault. Finishes very bitter, one of my friends described it as "this is what bitter tastes like"
The mouthfeel was very oily and resiny, thick and warm.
Kind of a fun Double IPA being severely Palate Wrecking and very big, the flavors you do get through the bitterness are quite good, I only wish they would have maybe diverted some of those bittering hops to even more dry hopping.
