Poured into a Stone Ruination IPA shaker on principal. Pours a deep, coppery orange with a slight haze to it. Two fingers of pure white head with copious, tiny bubbles towers over the beer with lots of bubbles rushing up from the base of the glass. Lacing is abundant. The nose is dominated by piney and citrus hops, but has a surprisingly sweet background of sweet, caramely malts. The taste, rather surprisingly comes very malt forward, and then bam, the hops hit in the back end. They are lots of citrus and pine, grapefruit. The palate is chewy, malty, full, with a long-lasting bitter finish. Overall, I was very surprised at how much of the stage the malt takes in this beer. I would actually say I like the original Ruination more, but this beer is damn fine. Damn fine indeed.
