Appearance: Really clean dark orange/amber with robust creamy lacing head
Aroma: Grapefruit, alchohol, dark malt
Taste: Slightly sweet, then transitioning into a alcohol hot bitterness
Palate: Slick, very lively mouthfeel. The light looking body is revealed to be much heavier, resulting in a coating mouthfeel. Alcohol like burn with the finish. Resin, pine, intense citrus.
Overall: Wow; this is a really impressive beer. It's not subtle in it's delivery which makes it much easier to discern the different elements. The lighter body makes it surprisingly drinkable, whereas the big malty mouthfeel and alcohol burn on the finish backs you down.
