FINALLY scored one of these, been hunting for a couple weeks now. Couldn't wait to rip the cap off this to accompany a Live Phish stream as the sun sets across the sky.
Pleasing golden hue that appears a bit syrupy crowned by the frothy white head that sits atop this magical brew. Sticky with some decent lacing down the sides.
Enormous tropical fruit and pine aromas ..I might have just gotten kicked in the face actually. Dank, resinous, just plain awesome. Heavy pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, etc plus a malty sweetness lurking in the background to add some balance to this monster.
A palate wrecker, unrelentingly hoppy with the hinted tropical citrus from the nose delivered abundantly. Slight peppery spiciness and floral element in the middle, leading to a semi sweet malt back end. One of the best representations of a west coast hop bomb you'll ever find.
Feel is right on for the style, medium bodied with a mild syrup like stickiness that coats the entire tongue. Perfect beer for unwinding on a warm summer afternoon. The 10.8% is reasonably well hidden, yet very welcome at this You Enjoy Myself Jam infused moment.
This beer was worth the hunt. In fact, they had two cases left after I got mine. I might just go buy one, its damn well worth it, especially at $8 a bomber. This is easily a top tier DIPA and I'm loving every sip. Go find some, Cheers!
