Beer review #1300!
22oz bottle from Bear World Watertown NY for 8$
Appearance - Slightly hazy copper colour with an above average size fizzy/frothy off-white coloured head. There a low amount of carbonation and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for 4-5 minutes.
Smell - Malts, hops, oranges, grapefruit, lemons
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste hops and malts mixed with grapefruit, pineapple and lemon. There is also some pine/resin mixed with a herbal flavour (rosemarry/menthol? can't put mu finger on it). It ends with a fairly hoppy bitter citrusy aftertaste.
Overall - While it may not be a spectacular beer, I can at least appreciate that they are trying to do something different/original. I probably won't buy another bottle, but it was well worth 8$ to try it.

08/22/12 On tap. To me most IPAs are too aggressive. This an exception. It's well balanced as to it's bitterness & the respectable hoppyness. It got a kick with a little burn. Appears to be brewed with me in mind and not the brewers bragging rights. Sue me, but I'll say it anyway...it's got great grownup characteristics.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 22 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 10 % and there is a nice discretion of the beer.
Appearance: The beer has a deep honey amber color with a slight haze. It builds a tall just off white head on top which hangs on well and clings to the glass making lots of cool lacing.
Smell: The aroma is full of loads of bright lemony citrus and well...hops. (Classic Stone IPA)
Taste / Palate: The flavor is full of hops from start to finish. First up are the citrus and tropical notes with a spicy malty bready base. This fades into herbal and pine like hop notes with slow fading bitterness in the finish.
Notes: Hang on to the hops roller coaster its going to be a bitter good ride.
