You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

A: Clear burnt orange, pretty. Still- no carbonation. White head, moderate lacing.

S: Juicy, ripe fruit, background of bitterness, some pine.

T: Wonderful smorgasbord of fruits. Orange, lemon, passionfruit, a lot of other stuff. Sweet malt, just an undertone, almost like honey or caramel. Mint/pine on the finish. Nice and juicy.

M: Light-medium body. Light prickle of carbonation.

O: My kind of IPA- lots of fruit, bitter but not cloying, highly drinkable but with high ABV. This is not just palatable, but enjoyable- is Stone relenting on the hardass destructive IPA styling? Or am I a hardass now?? (606 characters)

Gorgeous, crystal clear, Amber body with a soapy white head. Sticky, clingly lace.
Earthy and dank but with good malt.
The taste is poolish, water cracker malts followed by a fully piney, dankness. Nice citrus peppery finish. Slight alcohol aftertaste.
Medium full body. Nice carbonation.
Very nice double ipa. (312 characters)

Enjoy by 07.04.15

Look: Crystal clear pale gold. Finger or two of head has nice retention.

Smell: Dank hops, earthy malts, and lemon citrus

Taste: Exceedingly bitter plays nicely with the alcohol, nearly masking it entirely. Grapefruit from the start turns to lemon by the finish. Certainly very dank. Very much like wet straw.

Feel: Excellent body. Slightly dry finish. Carbonation dances about the mouth long after the finish. Very refreshing.

Overall: Really great. Always a must get when it hits my shop. Not a whole lot to criticize this beer for. Its right up there with some of my favorite beers. (609 characters)

22oz bomber, Enjoy By 7/04/15, brewed 5/28/15 and consumed on 6/13/2015. Straw colored and the off white head lasts the entire time leaving behind layers of lacing. Aroma smells of light citrus, pine, and grass. Taste follows the nose with the pine and grass more noticeable. Smooth, almost a fluff feel, on the palate and quite drinkable for 9.4%. First time trying one of these enjoy by offerings and it was quite delightful. (432 characters)

These "Enjoy By" offerings can be hit or miss. This one is a Grandmaster death blow. It is easily one of the best double IPA's that has ever passed my lips. The price is fair given the product. I'd suggest you seek this one out immediately because I doubt you'll see it available 10 days from now. (297 characters)

Exceptional. One of my favorite DIPA's. Better than a much harder to find beer here in NorCal, you know which one ;). Just my opinion. This beer is perfect to me. Will buy every release. (191 characters)

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, the "enjoy by" date is 7-4-15.

APPEARANCE: pours a clear, golden color with one-finger off-white head, excellent retention, the head slowly faded until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained, significant lacing on the glass, medium carbonation.

SMELL: pine resin, grapefruit, bread, some pepper, I can also smell the alcohol.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially some sweet citrus and bread then a piney hop blast, the 9.4% ABV is clearly present.

PALATE: medium body and carbonation.

OVERALL: this is a beautiful looking beer but not the best tasting IPA, a little too boozy for my liking, I can only enjoy one in a sitting, I like the concept of having freshness date in the name just wish the beer was better, this beer was terribly overpriced at $16.00 for a six pack of 12 ounce bottles so I'll not be buying this again. (909 characters)

I remember the days when enjoy by was exactly or very similar to what is described in it's description. This 7/4/15 batch is good, but not danky or very citrusy to say the least. Last batches ive had have been more malty and sweet than a bitter juice bomb like I would prefer. Still crisp and good, but does not live up to it's own description. (345 characters)

Enjoy By 7/4/15

There is so much discussion regarding inconsistency from batch to batch and the mysterious onion taste. I have had every batch in Delaware distro for past three years. IMO - the past 12 months have been incredibly consistent. A juicy citrus has complemented the (devastating) dank more recently in both bouquet and taste. Mouthfeel and appearance has always been off the charts. Drinkability is amazing. 3 years ago I assumed a great marketing approach led to over-inflated scores. But this is without doubt one of the best IIPA’s out there. (567 characters)

A-bright golden color with a fingers worth of white head

S-delicious aroma with citrus, grapefruit, pale malts

T-similar to the smell, pale malt backbone with citrus, tropical fruits, lemon, and resin

M-medium body, moderate carbonation, super drinkable

Overall so drinkable, delicious tasting (314 characters)

07.04.15 12oz bottle into a solo cup. 3rd Enjoy By release to pass my lips.

A: Nothing too special. Vibrant clear gold with 1/2" of off-white head that recedes pretty quickly.

S: Amazing, breathtaking. Huge grapefruit & citrus with a nice oily hop character underneath. A bit of biscuit & malty sweetness provide counterpoint, but the fruit is the star of the show.

T: Grapefruit, lemon & lime peel, cinnamon, brown sugar, pine, black pepper, grass, hop resin, exceptionally well-defined bitterness that seems to focus on woodiness & a hint of onion. Holy moly.

M: Moderate carb & a big malt body do the job perfectly.

O: My only complaint is that this brew is just too drinkable. (695 characters)

Enjoy By 07.04.15, had one of these previously at the end of 2014. Says it is bottled on 5/28/15, so pretty dang fresh.

It's a strong DIPA, with an explosion of bitter, piney, and juice-laden hops. Really nice West Coast style that everyone needs to try. Some of Stone's finest right here in this bottle. (305 characters)

On tap at Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock, VT in their snifter. Enjoy by 7/4/2015
A= Great golden amber with straw colored lasting head.
S= Lots of hops, citrus, pine, resinous, get some alcohol.
T= Tropical, citrus, and pine, all balanced with malt and masking the 9.2 ABV.
M= Full bodied and smooth, moderate carbonation.
O= Very tasty, high fresh hop flavor comes on strong and lasts, but remains balanced and easy to drink, could be dangerous at 9.2% (or perfect). (465 characters)

(07.04.15) Initially turned off by soapiness and light mouth feel. After I got over that I got into the great hops and will be buying more tomorrow (hopefully), one of the top DIPAs this year so far for me. I think it drinks better out of the bottle (sixer) than poured. (271 characters)

Enjoy By 07.04.15.

12 oz. bottle into a tulip. Pours a very clear golden with a moderate amount of carbonation. 1/2 a finger of white foam initially, but quickly dissolves down into a thin film. Dank, piney, sticky aroma on this beer, with a hint of sweet fruit. Light weight and a very lively mouthfeel. Dank pine and hop bitterness right away on the taste. A little bit of grapefruit middleways, but this beer is all about the hops. More dankness and pine resin on the back end, with an earthy bitterness left on the aftertaste.

Overall, not bad, but nothing like what I expected. This beer tastes like liquid marijuana, at least to me. I usually love my IPAs more pine-forward, but this one was different from any I've ever had. Definitely an A beer, but I'll admit I'm slightly let down. (794 characters)

Citrus bomb! Mango, mango, mango.....crisp, hoppy, piney finish...this is a classic! This was the Enjoy By 3-14-15. So far every Enjoy By has a nice citrus base with a crisp, hoppy mouthfeel. I've also had the Enjoy by 7-4-15 which wasn't as juicy. (248 characters)

I had some Enjoy by 4/20/15 earlier this year in early April. Was able to pick up a bomber from the local Meijers. I am not a fan of this beer. It really did nothing for me. Aroma was blah. Taste was blah too. I tasted watered down. (237 characters)

Enjoy by 4-20 from the tap on 4-12 was my first experience. Did not disappoint one bit. Only offerings in my area were draft and bombers and by the time I had it all the bombers were gone. Don't let it pass you by. (216 characters)

Seems right the dankest IPA they have made so far is set for 4:20, it also happens to be my birthday and there have been two before, each having a significant date for myself as the enjoy by - this is the third I've had and I'll be damned if it doesn't follow the third time charm (not to say the first two weren't awesome).

A: Pours a foamy sloth that keeps its creamy head, but dissipates into a crystal clear golden straw color. There's a few rising streams of tiny bubbles, and it looks oh so inviting.
S: Ho lord I cant wait to try this, it smells like passion fruit and pineapple with slight tangerine. I'd say Nelson Savin is in there, along with some other New Zealand hops, the sexy lupulins that they are.

T: Holy damn, there is so much hoppiness and boozyness laying on you all at once that it smacks you - but in a sexy bad girl way. The malts are clearly here as a necessity because they are surely not the life of the party. There is so much boozyness in this that it tastes like it was spiked with vodka or Sake - but, it does serve to peel the layer of hoppy stickiness that comes with it. It's like eating a chocolate lava cake, the richness or sweetness alone would be too much, but with the balance of the two extremes - it's got you thinking seconds. Those tropical hop notes really do come out in a way that mellows everything back to being on a Caribbean island drinking fresh squeezed juice from local fruit bounty - if those fruits also had obscene amounts of alcohol in them.

M: This is a full body DIPA through a trifecta, maybe even a quadfecta. The FG needed to balance the booziness give physical body while the limited carbonation doesn't pull any tricks trying to mask the heftiness. Then there's the alcohol tang which lets you know this isn't a game, you could equate it to a heavily spiked glass of jungle juice kinda feel. Lastly, the hopiness sticks to your tongue until the next sip utilizes the booziness to wash away that dose, only to be replaced by the newest gulps worth.

O: It's a full circle beer that hop heads will enjoy the whole way through, from opening and admiring, the first waft, each individual sip, to the final drop. This is absolutely one of the most pinnacle IPA's, let alone DIPA's, I have ever had the pleasure of coming across. It's intense and out on a mission, and that mission is to show just what a DIPA can be and do - and be it it does. Grade - 97

Beware though, this one is not for the faint of heart - Cheers! (2,501 characters)

Had the first release in 12oz. bottles 4/20-really enjoyed. Tried it in the 22 oz. and was a little disappointed(compared to the 12 oz.) Ive always enjoyed this beer but the 12oz. seemed to really capture the hop aroma and flavor. We won't talk about the price though-ridiculous (278 characters)

Had this on 4/27, so as would be expected, the hop flavor was starting to head for the background. This brought forward a sweetness that was indeed "devastatingly dank". I'm not sure if it was the fact that I enjoyed "after" or just the beer itself, but this was a more than commendable addition to the Enjoy By series. (322 characters)
