You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

Bottled on 3/13/14 and opened on 3/23/14.

This beer is super fresh and super hoppy. It's what most hop heads dream about every night as their perfect beer. It's actually not too expensive considering the amount of work that goes into getting a 1 month old or fresher beer from the brewery to the store shelves. I won't talk the beer up too much, so you can have your mind blown too.

A: Pours a nice golden color with a two finger head. Nice retention and blotchy lacing.
S: Very hoppy, lots of floral pine and grapefruit citrus. Light malts.
T: Same as the smell. Big pine presence and citrus. Slightly funky aftertaste.
M: Bitter and dry. Medium light on the palate.
O: A good offering for the style.

22oz bomber bottle poured into a chalice.

A- a perfectly clear golden hue with orange highlights. Plenty of visible carbonation. A nice very off white froth sits atop. Plenty of lacing.

S- Lots going on. Red grapefruit, hempy/tobacco note, lemon peel, mandarin orange, pear and some mango.

T-Big smack of bitterness up front. Alcohol. Hops follow the nose, but there is a lot more of that onion/garlic thing going on in the flavor. The only thing that holds the taste back from a "5" rating would be if the hop flavor popped just a bit more, and the bitterness backed off just a touch. It's fairly bitter throughout.

M- Medium body, syrupy, but plenty of carbonation to move things along.

O- Very good, and certainly and upgrade over ruination.

Poured into Dogfish spiegelau glass. Enjoy by 4/20/14 - Best Day Ever!

Appearence is a great transparent honey color. Aroma is one of the best DIPA smells around. Great balance of citrus , sweetness - maybe honey, slight pine and floral features. Taste is incredible and follows the nose. This release tastes even better than I remeber the last one being. Buy them all!!

Update - Enjoy by 7/04/14

Super floral - even more so than the 4/20 release. Still delicious, but a little dryer than I remember.
