You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

Poured from bottle into a goblet. This was the newest version of the best by series (by 11.12.13). I thought this beer was outstanding. Very mellow for a double. It poured like most IPAs with the golden hue with average head. Smell was good, but not anything special. Overall, it was outstanding. I was mightily impressed by Stone with this one.

A-pours a crystal clear golden color with a medium small off white head that has good retention and very good lacing.
S-the aroma is amazing! Very Impressive with tropical fruits, very citrusy and pungent. . This is my kind of IPA for sure.
T-the flavor is all hops. Tons of tropical fruits and citrus notes. The only thing I can say in criticism is that it's not very complex but man this is good!
M-big body, creamy with a balanced and semi dry finish. Perfect amount of carbonation too.
O-this beer is just plain amazing! You have got to try this beer. I will totally be having this one again.

A - Yellow / Gold with a modest, foamy head which left some inconsistent lacing.
S - Without hyperbole, THE most wonderful aroma of any beer I've ever had. Fresh, spicy, green, vanilla, mango, pineapple, it goes on and on. So inviting it's incredible.
T - The theme of freshness is underscored here. IPA fans will have a lot to love. May be one of the most intense beers available. Crisp green piney bitterness packs a punch and is followed by soothing sweet tropical fruit softness. Complex and interesting every time.
M - Alternates between smooth creamyness and sharp bitterness. The remarkable balance of these qualities livens the palate without wearing it out.
O - Stone's sublime dedication to beer craftsmanship has yielded yet another masterpiece, and we IPA fanatics may once again reap the gratuitous rewards. Outstanding!

Enjoy by 10.25.13

a: slightly hazy golden orange, with some burnt amber. 3 finger solid white head

s: real dank. tons of pineapple, mango, passionfruit, grapefruit, orange zest. hint of clean malts in there as well

t: again, dank hops. mostly grapefruit, pineapple, and passionfruit. there is a slight malt character in here as well towards the end of the flavor. not too bitter (for Stone). the bitterness comes in towards the end and comes from a tea-leaf like flavor. has that distinct Stone flavor to it

m: medium, with mild carbonation.

o: its ok. i had an earlier vintage at Stone a few months ago and like it better. i enjoy that it is not overly bitter, but with the tropical fruits were a bit more juicy.
