You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

I can't say anything negative about this beer, so I had to give it a perfect rating. It's clean and crisp on the nose and the palate. Perfect IPA taste and smell. A beautiful golden, slightly orange color to it. I poured it into an IPA glass very slowly so there wasn't much head but it bubbled around the edges nicely and stayed the whole time I drank it. For a 9.4%, there's no alcohol taste so it really creeps up on you. Fantastic beer. Hoping to get another pint before 7/14/14

06/18/14 Enjoy by 07/14/14

This one was much softer than previous Enjoy bys. Wasn't as hoppy as the previous early 2014 and 2013 productions. Reminded me of the 04/13 style, but this one was even softer. I felt as if Stone also brewed this one with a muscadet or semillion wine grape because of the roundness.

03/27 Enjoy by 04/13/14

This one had a much more floral nose to it. DIdn't appear as hoppy as the 2.14.14
It was also much softer than the previous one. It did not have the orange hue to it, so I have to imagine the IBU count isnt as high.
But this is still a very enjoyable beer. Different than 2.14.14, not better no worse, just different. Mush more of a soft smoothing, slow sipping beer

02/07 Enjoy By 02.14.14

Getting better. This one had to have a higher IBU rating. There was a orange hue to the pour from this one with strong aromas of grapefruit, citrus and pine. To me, there was so much hops, that this beer was dry before I even tasted it. Dry isnt the word. Its a beer for a hop head, no question about that. This one, I would rank up there with some of the real hop head beers.
Totally enjoyable, but one flaw... Too much hop without enough to balance this one, so too much in one direction

10/16 Enjoy By 11.12.13

This by far to me has been the best enjoy by in a long time. I am a huge fan of Ruination and once I poured this one, it didn't have the same deeper color, but everything else is right there and some more
The hops came out across the room, you didn't even have to be close to the bottle. The air was filled with citrus and grapefruit. As I got closer to the glass, my senses opened up even more. The bitterness of this beer let your tongue know for sure what you were drinking but at the same time, giving you a comfortable mouthful and balance. Each sip, was more bitter than the one before, but in such a good sense.
The finish was outstanding...
I could not find anything wrong with this beer, hence, a '5' it gets

---

I couldn't wait to taste this one. I just didnt know what to expect from Stone. The pour was a nice amber reddish/golden hue with a nice frothy white head.

Then I put my nose up to the glass. U almost feel off my chair! By the smell, I was expecting the IBU count to be into the thousands, far beyond what mortals can drink.

But at the first sip, I realized that while the Hop aroma was there, almost crazy, this beer had a good amount of hoppiness, but very gentle, something you would think in the 70's

Each sip was cleaner and cleaner. Still the nose held up so very well.

The taste was crisp and clean All those hops didnt jump after your tongue. This was one enjoyable beer. I know its limited, but I gotta see if I can convince of of our guys to let another go.

22 oz bottle, the Enjoy By 7.04.14 version

pours crystal clear, bright dark golden in color, bright white head. good head retention, and a bit of lacing. aroma has got to be the most intense hop aroma I've smelled from an IPA before. like opening up a package of vacuum sealed package of hops. citrus, pine, a bit dank. clean simple base malt and all hop flavor. highlights the hops well, but I personally prefer a bit more malt flavor in a DIPA. medium body, higher carbonation.
