You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

look: 4.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

2-15-13 version, poured into a pint glass with 10days to spare.

A - one of the few beers I feel like deserves a high appearance rating. Translucent honey color. Cotton white foam, initially a 2 inch head, reduces to a quarter inch crown that retains the entire time.

S - kind of disappointingly muted. Lemon peel, some tropical notes, but not big at all. Smells nice, but I wanted some more "in your face."

T - bitter lemon peel, citrus, mango, ends in a piney note, quick and bitter finish. Overall, very good. There are some onion/shallot type notes that are kind of hanging around, never noticed or identified this in an IPA before, not bad, just interesting. Some juicier mango tropical notes come out it warms up. A really outstanding tasting IPA.

M - pretty much perfect. Creamy, medium carb, just thick enough.

O - a really excellent IPA. A/A+. If there were out year round, I'd be hard pressed to drink any other IPA.
