You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

A- This beer pours a clear bright copper body with a thin white film of bubbles that last a bit. There is a strong carbonation of big bubbles gliding to the surface.

S- The full fragrant aroma of cat pee hops is followed by some pineapple weed hops aromas. It is bright and full in the nose.

T- The green pungent woody herbal hops has some green pine resin flavor and a dry fruit cocktail hops flavor that starts to come through. There is a sweet malt flavor that is cut short by a nice dark green pungent hop bitterness in the finish that lingers. There is only a very gentle note of bitterness that lingers in the after taste.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a cleaning fizz finish and no real alcohol heat is noticed.

O- The big hop flavors have a nice complexity and good depth. I'm not a fan of cat pee hops but it subsides as other flavors/aromas outshine it. Very good at hiding the alcohol as this is very smooth to drink.

My 800th review! "End of the World" batch 12.21.12. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.

Pours a frothy, 2 finger white head with excellent retention. Beer is a clear orange-goldenrod. Lacing is thick, layered and stringy with great cling. Phenomenal in every aspect.

Nose is intense citrus, pine with a sappy hop presence and some cane sugar to finish things off. Nice and clean.

Opens citrus, pine, cane sugar and a light hoppiness. A slight astringency at the start that mellows into some sap hop bitterness. Middle is more citrus and grapefruit with a bitter finish and a hoppy, fruity aftertaste. Really balanced.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Lively but smooth in the mouth and warm and aggressive going down. Finish is slightly messy with a lingering aftertaste. Hides the ABV exceptionally well.

This is just a very well crafted, all-around solid IIPA. Great look, clean nose, balanced flavor profile and an excellent feel. I'm glad I got the chance to try this one.
