Thick pitch black pour with a quickly fading one finger tan head with no lacing. The mint really dominates the nose along with hints of dark chocolate, mocha, and booze. If they were going for mint chocolate chip ice cream, they definitely nailed it. The taste is much the same with the mint building as it warms. Some nice roasty chocolate notes along with some espresso and a touch of licorice. The taste is more like an After Eight mint. The mouthfeel is thick, syrupy, and oily with a bitter, slightly chalky finish. Overall, this is a really well conceived beer, but just not my cup of tea. I'm not a big fan of mint and chocolate paired together, and this is incredibly rich with both.
