A - appearance was good. Nice carbonation that lasted with some lacing.

S - Hops pretty dominate.

T - taste was nice. hops were forward and the malt took a back seat.

M - Good mouth feel.

O - I'll admit I am not a hop fan. This is one of Stone's year around beers.

Typical big weighty Stone house character to start but not at all huge or grotesqe. Off white head which thins in time.
Biggish potent nose. Nice rounded full dry grapefruit taste/feel is full and robust which lasts well before taste fades. Middling length at best. Reasonable but could do with more development.
Some simple lacing too.

Like all Stone beers this is very good but this one is sort of heavy and lacking the sophistication I would expect from the style.

Nice looking printed bottle. Makes me think I should have kept the other Stone bottles I've sampled.
Aroma is fresh hops of grassy quality, but also a solid malt background that kinda' sweet and biscuit/toast. Very nice.
Head is a little muted and settles to a flat cap very quickly. Orange amber and slightly cloudy.
Nice blending of malt and hops. Nice coating of bitterness and hops on tongue with a soft bitterness that hangs around for a bit, with a load of flavor. Fairly malt based for style. Hops flavor similar to aroma.
Smooth ale with slightly prickly bubbles
Nicely flavored and complex for style.
Thanks for the bottle John.

I poured this 12oz bottle into a pint glass. It is a wonderful copper in color with a slightish head a faint tan. Both in smell and taste lots of hops, grassy, and citrusy. The carbonation is a bit more than I expected, but it is very refreshing. It finishes dry. Overall, it is a pretty bold pale ale. It is a bit too hoppy for the style me thinks, but that aside it is a very good beer.
