A collaborative effort from all the good folks at Stone/Stillwater/Evil Twin
After reviewing I realized this was my 1800th review, cheers!
LOOK: Pours a deep brown with a light off white foam that leaves good lace. Has good staying power, and was served in a chalice.
SMELL: Bread, toast, chocolate, grass and slightly funky Belgian yeast.
TASTE: Moderately tart in a Belgian fashion upfront giving way to notes of dry cocoa, coffee, herbs and hops. Mild peppery spiciness paired with a presence of molasses. Dry hopped flavor comes through well.
FEEL: Really nice, smooth and the carbonation is strong and slightly drying, right where it needs to be. Almost creamy, and spicy.
OVERALL: To hell with judging this beer to any one style, it's a conundrum. A very good one at that. But, for being a smoked Saison, the smoke is not very strong. It had more of a pleasant roasted malt flavor.

At 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle,SC)
Pours black and opaque, with a very good head.
Flavor: very floral, a bit 'wild', with Belgian yeast and light and medium roast malts. Medium+ strength. A bit sweet up front; clightly funky and slightly bitter aftertaste.
O: interesting and moderately complex but not my cup of tea.

Bottle dated 2012
Pours opaque dark brown with 1/8 inch of khaki head that settles to a thin ring on top and leaves faint spotty lace.
Smell is somewhat subdued overall and is floral up front with faint dark cherry and bready malt on the finish.
Taste is of piney hops up front with grapefruit and a hint of honey on the back end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
This one is hard to categorize. It has a strong hop presence initially with bold malt in the finish. Tart citrus notes and some honey sweetness round it off. A solid effort whatever style you choose to call it.
