A: Pours dark black with a moderate sized tan head and some lacing.
S: Grass, lots of citrus, especially lemon. Very pungent and funky.
T/M: Really wild and hard to pin down. Very hoppy, with big floral and citrus flavors along with a strong piney, grassy element. Somewhat bitter up front, with some funky, yeasty notes, and then a sweeter finish. The malt base is subtle but present, and provides some stout-like hints of caramel and chocolate.
O: A very odd beer, but it's certainly meant to be odd. Big hops, funky saison yeast, and stout notes are combined and never quite blend together. It's very unique and interesting, and works about as well as this crazy idea ever could.

At 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle,SC)
Pours black and opaque, with a very good head.
Flavor: very floral, a bit 'wild', with Belgian yeast and light and medium roast malts. Medium+ strength. A bit sweet up front; clightly funky and slightly bitter aftertaste.
O: interesting and moderately complex but not my cup of tea.

Bottle dated 2012
Pours opaque dark brown with 1/8 inch of khaki head that settles to a thin ring on top and leaves faint spotty lace.
Smell is somewhat subdued overall and is floral up front with faint dark cherry and bready malt on the finish.
Taste is of piney hops up front with grapefruit and a hint of honey on the back end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
This one is hard to categorize. It has a strong hop presence initially with bold malt in the finish. Tart citrus notes and some honey sweetness round it off. A solid effort whatever style you choose to call it.
