Poured from a bottle into a nonic pint glass.
Appearance: A foam head, about an inch thick, sat on top of a hazy light-orange body. Sticky white lacing throughout.
Smell: Floral extravaganza! The hops stood out, as they should. Notes of citrus and herbs also stand out. Very pleasant scent.
Taste: This was one potent IPA. This beer came off pretty sour after the first sip. Complex notes citrus break through. Eventually the malts come in and attempt to contain the dominating taste of hops. There is a great balance between the hops and malts for this IPA.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth, perfect carbonation.
Overall: This IPA seems to get all of the attention. I have enjoyed a number of great IPAs but this one stands out. Drinking one of these is an experience. Definitely a great example of a top-notch IPA.
Bottom Line: I'd recommend this to everyone, but if you are not a hop head, just sample it.
